I was put into a match while the game was closed.

    I played quite a few matches this morning/afternoon and eventually took a break to eat. I returned to the bay to check guild quest progress before closing the app.
    When I reopened the game 10-15 min later I was floating in a match where 1 min had already elapsed.
    How is this possible?
    Even if I had closed the game while a match was loading it would've been long over by the time I returned.
