Just got caught in a "1-on-1" with a person using a high duration Tesla Bolt for the first time. It wasn't literally a 1-on-1, there was a Shooter behind me but apparently he couldn't kill the guy. I was on Enforcer, I got stunned for over 10 seconds. He hits me, I put up my Tesla Shield, he breaks my shield, then he stuns me again at the end of the self-stun from the shield. He was using very high level weapons, so I died doing pretty much no damage. He then rolled up to the Shooter, stunned him and killed him, too.

I'm pretty pissed. Is there even a strategy for this?

If damage breaks the stun can damage from a floating wreckage break it early (if there is one nearby)?

He was on a Speeder and I was on an Enforcer.
Probably, but wreckages also deal percentage-health damage. I'm not sure that's helping me out, even if it does reduce the stun. There wasn't one nearby during the fight, so that wasn't an option either way.

Yeah, 1v2 or even 1v3 is possible with double bolt :)

So you were the enforcer and he was a speeder?

lol it's endless stun. Not much one can do. But the shooter must have been real bad if he/she couldn't skill the speeder while it was targeted on youo_O

If I had that right and your enforcer and he is speeder, I can only think of one thing but it requires some skill, as an enforcer your turret speed is much faster than his. what I do when I hunt down anyone as the enforcer is drive straight at them, and then basically sit right on top of them. when you pass them you turrent wil be ready to fire much faster than his. But watch which way his turrent is spinning and move with it. Basically your goal will be to always be on his back. of course, if he is a competent speeder he will run from you and find a way to hit you with the stun again. but it might be enough to get him of guard/ make a mistake?
Another possibility is if it happens a lot to you, you might want to try having a stun your self?
Just throwing ideas out. I'm sure that was incredibly frustrating.

If hes right in your face, the best thing you can do is try to pass through his ship. Your turret speed should recover faster than his and youll get atleast 1 shot off.. Or youll be able to use some of your yellow items like OB, TS or your very own TB.

As a speeder, can't they just run away? there is no way to stay on top. It only works if you are faster(which enforcer is not), or they remain absolutely still:D

Your right they can, however in my experience they don't tend to do that, most will not go too far and will try circling around and go for the 1 on 1 dog fight. For a good enforcer they can use that to their advantage by staying on top of them and getting a few shots off. Not saying that it will get you out unharmed but its certainly better than trying to run from him, right? If there is a better strategy out there id love to hear it so I can improve more myself.

Really? You'd think they'd know that enforcer turret speed makes it anti speeder lol. Except when there's tesla bolt... 1v1 guaranteed win.

Regardless of whether that would have worked, I actually didn't try that during the fight. That's usually my go-to strategy in close quarters, I guess the fact that it was a Speeder psyched me out.
I've gotten over it by now, but any strategies to get around that are always welcome. I'd rather not have to pick up a Tesla Bolt myself, but if it happens more often I might. This was a guy on a Mk 5 who was matched with people pretty far below his infamy level, so I didn't have a good chance of winning anyway.

Strategies to check in the future:
    - If there's a teammate alive, run to him. I had my back to the Shooter for the whole fight, which isn't good.
    - If they're reasonably close, try a cross-up (fighting game slang, but jumping behind someone on an Enforcer is a similar thing). Might not work, but it's better than what I was doing. Let's not talk about what I was doing.
    - Try items such as Nitro, to dodge/cross-up, or Mortars, to get him to move.

Lol if you're in combat isn't it more reasonable for them to run to you? Cause I'd rather have my back on a teamate than on an enemy in a 2v1:p

In my opinion, shooters make or break a team. Shooters have such extremes... from very good(Bittersteel:)) to complete trash(Me when I tried shooter). So I'm gonna assume you had a bad shooter, but you would have won that match up easily had he engaged. In my opinion, staying locked on the speeder was a good choice;)

I would say many times pride and ambition outweigh reason and common sense. hehe
The speeder wants to prove he is good enough to take on that enforcer and win. like the Chihuahua taking on the Pitbull
