How to deal with Frost+Torp Combo?

Apparently it is not overpowered according to some players. So how do you deal with it especially in a 1v1 situation?

 

You don't.
We will sink you whether you deal with it or not.

In all seriousness, unless you're a speeder with nitro, all you can do is try to trick your opponent into leading his torp where you aren't going...
And be aware. REALLY aware.

 

Stay close to opponent! Torp doesn't work when launched at enemy who is near! So try to turn rounds and stay close!

Yeah, but I've noticed that if you hit X, the next match is equally bad or worse because your infamy doesn't update until you see the battle star screen. (Or watch a replay)

 

The only thing that can survive 1v1 with a good speeder is another good speeder.
Frost or not, you're getting your ass kicked

 

I think, realistically, your best option is probably to try and play as a team. Shut down speeders that get too close, or make it so that even if they land the torp and kill someone, it’s a suicide run. Speeders are squishy (usually) and frost+top takes a lot of set up. A well timed stun from one of your own yellow item ships is gonna ruin thier day.

If you get left in a 1v1 with one of the top speeders running ~t4 legendaries, then you probably weren’t going to win that one anyway, so don’t sweat it.

Yes I do agree with you that this is a team game. However most of the time you look out for yourself and not your teammate (except fixer) so how about the situation that you end up 1v1 with a Speeder?

(Sorry I am having trouble explaining haha)

 

This is what I'm worried about. It will kill build diversity and will make the game less fun knowing there's a cookie cutter build.

 

Hey Friends DeAdMaN..$$ here i use torpedo ,blast cannon, frost launcher at MK4 speeder ..It really sucks the enemy and i gotta get 2 to 4 kills in battle...so beware from speeders like me. Hha

 

Use enforcers to troll frost torpedo combo,unless yr facing those t4 epic/legendary torp+strong frost,u will knew,u f____ed up

Last resort, depending on your boat, here's some things you can do. you must recognize their positioning. If they are facing towards you and quite close, you can try going towards them. Then when they start backing up, just before they are out of arming range, that's when you start backing up and turning too. Also, always always back up when frosted (unless your trying to get close) because your forwards movement is much greater. What makes me miss is when players drive backwards, then quickly switch directions and drive the other way. Sadly, defenders are kinda screwed either way. Fixers and shooters can (sometimes) escape though, just have to be aware of where the guy is coming from. *NEVER drive straight and hope they will miss, we wont* just try and make it as hard as possible for us. Unfortunately those with high level frost blasters make it seemingly impossible to escape without yellow items.

 

Speeder has and always will be the king of 1v1 Frost torp or not.
You also gotta remember It's not as good at 5v5 as it only has two gun slots, it's speciality is picking off loners.
And there are still many build diversities being used Because half the whales don't have the skill to navigate a speeder anyway.

you need skill to navigate these ships.

1v1 with a good speeder = wrecked

 

If you're a defender.... Well, you're screwed. But then again you were screwed from the very start. X)
