How to close a guild I established?

    go to your guild screen and press on the icon like the settings.
    There just select, leave guild

    So what happens to the guild itself if the guild leader leaves it?

    The guild is deleted, since it can no longer be recovered. But that is only possible if there are no members left in the guild except for the leader.

    OK, but let's suppose I have a guild with 25 members in it. I'm the leader and there are several other officers assigned. If I quit the guild, what happens? This is more than a trivial question since I may need to finally shed the guild that has been... uh... bequeathed to me.

    The guy who joined the guild after the leader quit automatically becomes leader

    You can't leave your guild while you are still the leader, the game prevents you from doing that. So before you leave your guild, tap on the settings icon (picture of a gear) on the member you want to become the new leader, and press "promote to leader". Now you are free to leave the guild, since you're no longer the leader.

    Perfect! That means I can "park" the guild on my son's account (who is inactive). That's probably better than any other choice. They don't seem very interested in any sort of team type activity so I doubt anyone will care much.

    I have seen guilds with zero members in it. But they were open entry. My own guild was by request. We left the guild by making an impact member leader. He too left the guild and now I can't find it. I think if someone has invitation for that guild then be may still go in that guild.
