I just lost few games thanks to infamy tankers. I am suspecting they are dropping their infamies for upcoming death match, hoping to get easier win. Here's my question: how many of these reported players get banned & how many reports need to be accumulated in order for the cheater to get banned? I wish Rovio would ban the infamy tankers for the whole duration of deathmatch event.

I don't hear of any but agreed I wish they would ban floaters and infamy tankers much more severely and publish a policy on it so players couldn't say they didn't know.

Floaters coule have legitimate reasons from time to time like receiving important phone calls or unexpected device errors, etc. Infamy tankers however should be penalized severely to make it not worthwhile to drop infamy on purpose.

Yes but infamy tankers if clever can make it look like floating. I would think a ban for a day if floating 10 times in a day should do it as tbh, if you have poor signal you are still being selfish and killing the game for your teammates! Obvious infamy tankers should have the infamy replaced and banned for 2-3 days. No point saying long bans as Rovio is a company and doesn't earn by banning players but small bans will stop most from doing it and if those who do it by accident get caught they won't kick up much fuss for a day ban etc.

Infamy has no impact upon the event matchmaking. It used to be the final tie-breaker in the first few events, but is now not used at all.

Anyone dropping infamy ahead of the event has wasted their own time

And I was wondering why I had to waste my time as well because of their stupidity. =D The main issue is whether those players are dealt with or not. It's pretty obvious that I won't get compensated in any way for the loss under current infamy system.

We have no evidence that reporting works or does not work because Devs do not give feedback on the punishments they hand out. Sometimes the players will themselves comment upon their own punishments.

I trust that the Devs do take appropriate action were sufficient evidence exists, and continue to report when I see something.

I would like Devs to consider issuing a ‘punishment summary’ along the lines of “during the last month 20 players were given bans for floating, 15 players were forced to change inappropriate names etc”. It would maintain the anonymity of the punished players, but give assurance that action was being taken.
