How does top damage and 4 kills get you 2nd place w/ 2 stars?

    Stars aren't based on damage, they're based on contribution. Contribution takes into account many other things besides damage.

    Which is annoying, because making sure stuff dies is kinda my thing :(

    Maybe Rovio just don’t want to reward ‘kill stealing’, but honestly... if I don’t kill stuff then I’ll just see them run around for ages on low hp, doing damage, while shooters miss them with mortars.

    Removing enemy guns, quickly and permanently, from the game, and reducing the unfriends firepower, is probably the single most important thing you can do to give your team an advantage. Damage is obviously very important, but it doesn’t pay any dividends unless the ship dies.
