Help on items/ships to use :)

Having being using all ships in a mix fashion since the start, and with the weapons am getting its getting a bit difficult for me to choose one specific ship and one set of items. Would be helpful if i could get a few suggestions and keep the extras out.
So far all ships except enforcer (since i do not have a good third one slotter weapon other than can, sniper can) are of my use though am more comfortable with speeder, shooter and fixer too. Defender aint bad cause i got okayish blue stuff so its been doing good too. I find a decent way to play each and hence upgraded all to mk4. Now in a fix which to upgrade to mk5..also, as far as weapons go i dont have too decent matches but a few upgraded tier rares and epics which are all single piece (no duplicates).
I think for a non-buyer it would be hard to get epic duplicates any sooner than rare, also the fact that they require epic parts and add more to budget..but at the same time still confused whether to upgrade rares or wait for epic duplicates as most have got t2 epic of something atleast at my lvl (non-buyers) and i still have lots of time to upgrade rares to next versions (crew is under ranked).
Also should i scrap my fixer stuff? Maybe it would be wise to collect for one than for all then first since green items are an extra thing.

I think you have the "perfect" setup for a shooter except for a mortar of any kind

 

I'll agree..been doing decent damage with my shooter for the most part and i guess thats the ship i should be looking for .

Your overboost sucks for now, I guess with that weapons I would chose shooter with Sniper, Missile, Railgun, Napalm + Cannon, and Blue stuff you can use Big Shield and Turbo. What's your infamy?

 

Speeder. Napalm and standard canon or sniper and standard canon. Tesla and nitro.

 

Or shooter
Sniper, railgun, missile launcher, explosive cannon/Cannon , turbo, big shield

 

I have 2100 infamy and I have the same overboost (you hurt his feelings)

 

Wouldnt say it sucks cause i already have optimum speed and dont need a boost that much. If i use the boost am pretty fast and cant ask for more, but yes a higher tier boost wont be bad. Right now speeder's base speed is 1.16, goes to 1.5 with epic turbo (+10%,15% perks : 40.7% boost) and 1.44 with rare t2 (+10%,10% perks : 32.5% boost).
Both combined gives speed of 1.78 (which is pretty high) but for my mk4 build limit is 1.62 getting green marked.



And yes my primary build (shooter) is and has been this - can/sniper can/railgun (fixed)
Optional is napalm/explo can/missiles.
At mk5 i'll get one added but i dont have another good one slotter. And blue same big shield, turbo.
Average infamy 2k+

 

Ah you guys spoke my mind. The previous post had kind of exactly my shooter layout and yours exactly my speeder one..with sniper. Never used napalm with speeder gotta try
Here are the setups i use and what i foresee to be at mk5 (confused on upgrading) :
Speeder my bestie, with added shield making it to 3.5k at mk5, but the wait is till lvl30

Shooter, my second fav and the most used. Heavy weapons need higher tiers though

Last is defender, preferably for use while in fleet with fixer and mostly used for quests..going 6k+ at mk5 and better if i get another shield to replace the tiny bandage


As for fixer i scrapped its stuff as i feel its better to focus on the ones i have. These setups focused on can/sniper cannon cause they are going to t4 soon

What infamy are you?
If lower than 1500, go fixer, climb a bit, get some rewards.

If higher (which means u can hack it already with the bigger boys) go speeder. Sniper, explo, turbo, big shield, nitro, ob, tesla bolt

That should get u to 1900

 

2k+. my season's top is 2404.

Yup thats the setup without the explo..i would want explo but its just lvl10 epic

Finally decided and with poll opinons too, got mk5 shooter -

Also as said took opinions, added a mortar as afeno mentioned, (also upgraded shooter at his infamy ) and just evolved my boost so that it sucks less
(Looking forward to mk5 speeder..and t4 cannons too)
