TL;DR - A high risk high reward item that sets enemies on fire capable of setting multiple enemies at once. Very short range.
Carronade has always been a very unique item, offering high potential, balanced by a short range making it very strong but risky, and also situation.
My idea is Heat Wave [1 slot]. Heat Wave will act like the complete opposite of repair pulse with shorter range, setting fire to those in radius
and will most likely be used by close range ships such as defender, speeder and enforcer.
What is unique about Heat Wave is that it can hit multiple enemies whether they be in front of you or in back of you, if they are in range once you activate they are effected with a respectful amount of damage and duration.
Another unique trait is that it requires no aiming, just get in range and shoot.
The range would be very small. The size of a firebomb radius around your ship

Yes, I understand that the idea of an item that requires no aiming can be frowned upon, but take in that the items in a player who is not familiar or skilled with such a unique and low range item is either not going be using it effectively (never being in range to use it) or dying trying to use it by force (not being strategic and just going for it, always trying to be in range).
