Guild rivalry unbalanced

    Hello All,

    From many people I have heard complaints about the unabalanced guild rivalry. I had never paid much attention to it, but now after my guild members pointed it out to me, it became obvious.

    Last week we completed quite a few quest and after some elbow grease, we became second, just I must add. But now we are being punished for working hard. My fellow guild members calculated that the teams have to do 1/3 of the damage we have to do, to get the same result. I like to compare, this is just like a amature football team who wins one week and is up against Barcelona the next week.
    And even several 5x boosts would not make any difference. BTW I don't get the boosts at all. pure and simple pay to win! That said I don't mind paying for something, but not for winning. But as I said before there are other ways people want to spend their cash in a game, like other companies do with success as well. I have spend more money on games which were not pay to win than with p2w games. I like to support companies for their work, so I happily spend money in a game, but I am not spending money to win. Call me old fashioned.

    A lot of people begin a new guild, all the members migrate to the new guild and get weaker opponents. As much I think it is wrong, I understand it completely. The way the matchmaking and rivalry has been set up, is just wrong. No wonder again 20% of my friends in the BFF list stopped playing, with both accounts.

    Please, note this comes from my guild members this issue, I had not thought about it. But they don't call me the secretary for nothing, so they expect me to point it out in the forum.

    Are my guild members wrong about the rivalry? Hope to hear your oppinion.

    Ofcourse guild rivalry is very unbalanced, it's more than obvious. We are like around #150 ranked guild right now but we have been put against guilds like ranked 7 and all. Even when we were like #220 ranked guild we used to face #3 ranked guilds. It's not bout 1 outta 3-4 weeks, it's every week. We need to kill our ass off to even stand a chance against them. Very tirey

    The rivalry matchmaking based on the completed quests.

    If your guild makes 20 quest only , the next week will be easier, if makes 48 quest the next week will be harder. Try it !
    The 48 quest = 114000 token, its not enough ??? Play for that, not for the win...

    Rivalry takes into account the prior 2 weeks, not just 1.

    The rivalry matchmaking is build to equalize results over time. Accept that, and then play play it smart.

    You are matched according to your highest # of quests completed in the last two rivalries. That means that you should probably aim for a 3 week cycle.
    Week 1: Use boosts & push to #1.
    Week 2+3: Safe boosts & aim at clearing a board (whether a low key week is 36/48 or 60 depends on your guild).

    We typically go 48-48-5x, repeat.

    So, this means 1 out of 3 weeks play for real and 2 weeks just easy going. We don't mind to work hard, but it is just wrong looking at completed quests only. Even the 10 year olds play as much football games as the 15 years old. You don't put them in 1 battle, that is just common sense. So, why is it different here? And if this is a known problem, then why not fix this instead of making all new features (which are nice, don't get me wrong). But the more they fail to address the current problems, the harder it gets to set it right, because with every new update new problems and bugs arise. So, instead of problems getting less, it gets worse. Or there won't be a fix, because they expect we spend more. But people spend more if it makes sense spending money. If from the start you see it is impossible to win, then nobody is going to spend money for boosts. Whereas if it is a close call, people will.

    Simple as that!

    My guild has not win first in 3 months. We completed 60+ constantly. We’re about #100 and face guild in top 20 every week. Guess what? They’re going 70+ against us and 50 the week prior. We got to 72 and they did 78. Top guilds are picking their opponents to play or have off week. That is manipulating the system. So much for fair play Rovio always promoting.

    Nothing fair about it! If we are expected to play fair, then the rivalry and matchmaking needs to be fair too. Now, indeed the stronger teams are manipulating the system and ruïn the game for the others, who like to play by the rules.

    So, needless to say, the rivalry needs a fix!

    The matchmaking in guild rivalry is getting so frustrating, we have not won in months. Not we are such bad players or my guild members hardly play, but only because the matchmaking does not make sense at all!

    It should not be on how many quests you finish, but Infamy, number of members and quests finished. Now it is so far off, that a lot of people make a new guild every other week. We are thinking of doing the same, because the system is just wrong. I am not for starting a new guild, but this is just not right and very frustrating to get teams which are (more) than twice as strong as the others.

    Please Devs, fix this!

    My guild takes a break for 2-3 weeks in order to let the members rest and relax only completing 36 quests. When we start back we win by 2-3 each week until we are forced to push to 60. Normally we can win 3-4 weeks in a row easily then we have a serious push then break again. It burns a guild out competing every week.

    i have a friend in another guild ranked around 80.they got REBELLIONS in the Previous rivalry,seriously? devs,we dont need new perks or events,we need a game balancing update.pathetic matchmaking in events,double bubbler mata and many other things need to be fixed

    That what our guild is now doing, 48 for the 114000 tokens... we do not rival anymore.

    Players asked for this pathetic way to do rivalries. IMO Random is better than this means of punishing success.
