hey I got to nml right before the update, and apart from events haven’t played the normal battle mode at all, avoiding what from afar seems like a kind of Wild West chaos. Is it even worth it to play normal mode right now, or is it a better idea to sit in nml, gain the nice rewards and see what happens with the normal game?

Your call buddy, I am loving the game post update.
Make sure you log in every day or you may see infamy decay and drop out of NML anyway.

Not much of a game if you don’t play.
If you can’t stay in NML playing (and I never do), then maybe you aren’t ready for NML. Just play, have fun and when the time is right you’ll get to NML and stay (maybe you are ready now and will stay, but you won’t know till you play).

Besides, all that you get for staying in NML are a bit of a boost on your battle rewards (which is irrelevant if you don’t play) and the season rewards (legendary piece, legendary parts, epic pieces, epic parts). Of course the season rewards are nice but you lose out on weeks of battle rewards, daily bonus parts, daily quests and the daily quest weekly premium crates just to get them. Oh, and star crates too, but I’m guessing you won’t lose sleep over that.
