Gear/ship/level to get into specific league guide

hey everyone , it is obvious to assume that as you progress through the seas and oceans of this game you will likely to bump into constraints such as : higher level of players you facing (they would have more active skills), the higher evolution of their ships and last but not the least the quality and tier of the gear.

I am not a pro player but i think it would be helpful For others to have a rough estimate of where they are supposed to be and what their potential is. It might also help out people who are not sure if the only way to progress further is through pearls.

So far I have noticed that :
For the challenger league , divisions(1,2,3) (0-499)
You would need to be level9, with mk1 ship, and tier one rares and uncommons

For the warrior league ,division (3) (500-800)
You would have to upgrade your ship to mk 2 ,
And be level 12, you would need to get your rares and uncommons to tier2, if you lucky enough to find an epic, that would work perfectly, but remember that a rare tier2 will be better than tier 1 epic .

For the warrior league , division (1,2) (800-1299)
You would most definitely need an mk3, and be level 18-19, In terms of gear you would have to have tier 2/3 rares and maxed out tier 1 epics, and also have a basic understanding of your role .

For the master league, division (3) (1300-1599)
You would have to have an mk 3/4 with tier 3 rares and start working on getting your epics to tier 2.

This is as far as I have gotten in 5 days of playing and 250 battles , of course there might be players who do much better than that and who would also struggle, but this is my personal experience feel free to add information on the remaining leagues!

No worries , I will update it as I get some feedback and move up in leagues. It's a bit vague now, but hopefully not for long

 

Unfortunately i dont think it works this way. I jave mk2 and am hovering at 1000ish Infamy. And i still get matched with 1300+ infamy Mk4's. I think Matchmaking is more Infamy based than Boat or Gear level.

 

Ohh I guess I confused you a bit, I didn't mean that matchmaking is based on level , no, not at all. It is based on the average infamy of a team.

As for the mk2 at 1000 , well done man! but as you probably have noticed the majority of the ships you face at that level would be mk 3 , and as you stated , ships at 1400+ are generally mk 4s. Of course people will skill and experience would be able to reach higher leagues with lower than average ( ship/level/gear).
However this guide is intended for the average player where the skill isn't taken into account , and the fact that you see (on average) ships/gear of certain level in the certain division shows the estimate where you should be if you are underperforming.

Think your gear estimation might be a bit high as this is my current set up and I am in master div. 1 with over 2300 infamy so I should be promoted to ace div. 3 at the end of the season.
