Gatling Special ability idea

    Hello everyone! Since Gatling looks pretty underpowered for me becouse of low damage and accuracy, I suggest that everytime it hits, it increases the damage which the attacked enemy recieves for a short amount of time. The debuff would stockpile on the enemy the more shots from gatling he gets, and it would last for like 3-5 seconds, but everytime the enemy ship gets shot by gatling, the clock on debuff would reset, so in order to get rid of the extra damage, you should dodge the gatling until debuff expires. So if you were shot 40 times by gatling, every shot from any weapon which hits you would deal 40 more damage for 5 seconds, except fire weapons. Also, it can be made that this damage increase does not affect the Gatling, to avoid the situation when everyone equips it, and increase extra damage, so every shot gives +10 extra damage from all sources. Sorry for bad english, hope you got and liked the idea.

    How about incendiary bullets perk? Something like...

    Every fifth bullet that hits adds 20 dps burn damage for 5 seconds and all fire bonus damage that goes with it. They stack so the burn doesn't last forever, maxes out at 5 seconds after last incendiary bullet connects. If all 15 bullets connect, that makes 3 incendiary bullets that connected adding 60dps for 5 seconds or 300 damage total. (+ all bonuses and priveleges that go with burn damage)

    I'd prefer some kind of incentive to make you hold that trigger down, like a bigger magazine and a faster firing rate.

    Assumption: You're firing a Gatling that does 100 damage a round.

    Currently it's a 15-round magazine firing at a consistent rate of 4 rounds per second, for 1500 damage in 3.5 seconds.

    Instead, let's give it a 30-round magazine and an accelerating fire rate.

    When you tap "fire" it shoots for one second, or four rounds. Total is now 400 damage in 1 second.

    If you're still holding down the fire button, the speed increases to 6 rps. Total is now 1000 damage in 2 seconds.

    Still holding? 8 rps. Total 1800 damage in 3 seconds.

    HODL? 12 rps. Total 3000 damage in 4 seconds.

    This results in a much more powerful weapon for sustained fire, but you need to either be skilled enough to hold fire on your target, or brave enough to get point-blank.

    And it feels much more like the bullet hose it should be.
