Fixer Tips

I'm hoping fixers can give a few strategy type tips to each other on surviving, fixers are slowly being killed off by Rovio and flares. Please don't recommend certain loudouts because, I, like many can't afford to drop hundreds of dollars on maxing gear, so I take what I can get.
1. For yellow items, I recommend nitro > overboost, I've never seen overboost save any lives. But, with nitro you can learn to time it to dodge a pesky speeders 2nd weapon. For example, after you get hit, wait 2 seconds or until they get a clear shot to hit nitro. It's saved multiple times
2. If there's two fixers on your team, prioritize the other fixers health!! I can't stress how often another fixer let's me die to heal a teammate with more than half their health. A dead fixer can't heal!!
3. Sometimes good against cannon type weapons, try hiding behind a wrecked ship. Surprisingly, sometimes shoots hit the wreckage instead of me. Any type of distraction and annoyance to the enemy helps your team
4. More than half of your teammates won't care about you, sadly. If someone's sneaking up to kill you, zoom confront of your teammates and block their shoots. If I die, your dying too, it's a team.
Please add on your personal tricks and tips, with flare being buffed, we can barely heal at this point. Surviving is a must.
