Fixer thinking about a second ship. Speeder, Defender, what fits here?

    Getting a little bored waiting for Mk6 and want to mix it up.

    I don't have the massive weapon loadout for a Shooter, but I could probably pull off an Mk5 in either of the two title classes.

    Current loadout on Fixer is (greens aren't relevant):
    Red: T4R Sniper/T4R Explosive
    Yellow: T4R Overboost
    Blue: T4R Turbo, T4R Small Shield

    If I jump to Speeder, I'd run both Reds, the same Blues, Overboost + a T1E Nitro I've got, and buy a Frost or Stun. Eventually I'd work to build up a Big Shield, but I wouldn't replace until it gave more HP.

    If I go Defender, I'd run both Reds + a T2E Firebomb, the same Blues + a T1E Rudder and start building up a Rare Big Shield immediately.

    I'm leaning Defender, because I could continue to build the Small Shield and Firebomb for future Fixer use. The rest of my gear isn't really worth noting, it's weak Epic weapons (Grenade, LR Mortar, Mine)

    and either way I'm annoyed that my Fixer can't run a Big Shield because no 3BB slots

    You can also go std + big shield on speeder mk6.
    My first second boat was speeder. And it is good one, so I would pick it.
    Because:
    Defender really needs shields, the underleveled big shield + lvl10 epic rudder doesn’t sound very good to me

    And considering mk6 ships, you would have 2 shields and turbo on speeder, defender has 5 blue slots and you couldn’t fill them all. Ofc, your yellows aren’t that strong, but you could easily develop stun gun (i assume that you have good dr buzzkill since he has fixer talents too).
    But it’s up to you!

    The sniper+ExC is an awesome combo on speeder. Plus you have a good overboost and turbo which are both "necessities" for a cannon using speeder.
