yup, after almost two years of playing (I think) I finally got a legendary wep

    sorry no sound.. :|

I need perks for it tho...and some help for play style with it? it'll be pretty different from the flare blast I used to run...

will upload pic of my build with it later :p enjoy!

btw how does the RNG work for combining? I imagine it like some platter rotating around with the items on it and any time you combine any rarity it will give you the item its on? kinda like the lucky spinner wheel thingies

*shiver* I wonder what I would do if I combined the leggy instead of the rare first and got a leggy railgun...*shudders*

Assuming that it really is random, I expect it just calls a function which generates a random number within a certain range, and each result points to a different relevant item in the database, and that is what you are awarded.

How the random number is generated depends. Some software just uses the system clock, or another rapidly shifting variable, to seed a ‘pseudo’ random number algorithm.

However, some modern processors have a randomness engine built in, which works by turning on two mutually exclusive bits at the same time (the electronic equivalent of trying to stand a coin on its edge). This causes the bits to fluctuate, turning each other on and off at high speed. This state is inherently unstable, and due to tiny quantum processes, they will start to desynchronise, breaking the symmetry. This results in one bit beating its counterpart, and turning him off permanently (the electronic equivalent of the coin falling over). This quantum ‘coin flip’ is then used to generate random numbers.

well long story short, my back-in-the-day mentor snipeyboi told me about having a set of items and not keeping too much stuff so the great scrap happened...down to 5 red items, three yellow, and three blue, 0 green...its changed a bit since then but I don't like having this and that when I know I won't use it

anyway thanks for listening to the history of my inventory... :p
