Double Cannon

    Has anybody ever tried double cannon? My thinking is that, as an MK4 Enforcer, I'm always hitting tesla shield, bolt, or overdrive so I want shorter cool downs on my weapons. I am not a fan of the Carronade, but I love my Cannons (4.4 second cooldown). I could be completely wrong about wanting shorter cool downs as well. What do you think?

    I use 2 Blast Cannons 1 rare and 1 epic, when my B Cannons are on cooldown i tesla bolt the enemy and he is stunned until one of my blast cannons can shoot again; also get behind the enemy shooter's cannon and its funny when they cant ever shoot at you

    Canon got in fact a tooshort cooldown for teslabolt, so i ve changed to blast for a better timing.
    For a defender it seems quite useful, 3 canon with full bhurt captain must be funny

    Double cannon is great on defender up to mk.4. I don't know about enforcer but it probably will waste time shooting to use your tesla or ob.

    I think you've worked it out wrong, Because you have so many other items that you are using, you'll actually want medium cooldown items, as you will be wasting the time they are available. I think 1 cannon and 1 blast cannon would be better. That way in a 1v1 where you are just shooting, the medium and low cooldowns work in your favour, but when you are telsa bolting and shielding, you have the blast cannon which hits hard and isn't sitting there ready to be fired while you are using your utility.

    Porthos: what is broke on shield defense perks? Have all these instead of HPs..

    look at post about defence and shield. but...
    with 2900hp and 25 def (3 slot shield, 5 def each)=> 3 hit at 1K make 3000-75 = 2925 you are dead
    with 3050 hp and 10def (3 slot hp 50hp each) => 3hit at 1K make 3000-30 = 2970 you are alive

    I have been trying the double cannon and I have to agree with retryW. Having 1 item with short cooldown is nice, but I rarely got a chance to use 2 consecutively. And there is nothing like connecting with that perfectly timed grenade. Thanks everyone for your input. See you on the water.

    The double cannon works best on Defender, as it has nothing to do other than shoot and move towards the enemy. So it can make use of the short cooldown. Any other ship will have other items coming off cooldown which will have a bigger impact. Having a single cannon can never be wrong on any ship though :)
