I feel like I can't perform well without the battle bay music blaring. If it's on silent, I'm going to suck that round. Lol

I do sometimes, but battle bay's sound is kind of important, especially for fixers. When you hear a torpedo impacting on a boat behind you and no enemies are near, for example, you can start healing that person. If you didn't have that sound clue... you might notice randomly 20 seconds later that one of your teammates has a lot less life than he should have.

I always keep my sound on (I just turn off ingame music). But I do see your point

I used to keep my audio on. From time to time I hear people talking and laughing (indoors like in bars and restaurants) I find it weird and creepy especially when I play at night.
    Is this normal?

I use headphones and earbuds so I can hear the sounds of the battle. Sometimes during the day, I put on a music stream and let it play in the background. It's true that the sounds are very important to the game as it tells also when mortars are fired and if someone is hit in the center. It also alerts us fixers to the dreaded "ping!" or "clunk!"

I changed the audio settings so I hear the sound effects, but not the game music. Like what @Miathan said, it's important for a fixer to be able to hear battle sounds.
I listen to highly suspect cuz it pumps me up man haha

Clunk! raise all my alarm bells lol. It's an indication that the sound design in this game is on point.
