Do VIP members get a built in advantage?

    so I have been informed that vip members do not pre-download videos... which means that non vip players do, whether you watch them or not.

    Data usage aside, it seems to me that this gives vip players an innate edge: all their bw is going towards the game, whereas mine is split between a ten player game and a video being downloaded. Even if it’s infinitesimal, over the course of a couple thousand games it will add up.

    Just guessing, but I would expect them to avoid downloading while user is in a match. (Or at least throttle the download while in match).

    Fighting latency is a huge issue for developers making games like these, I’m hoping they don’t “self-sabotage” their own effort to download ads :)

    Well i know my match never starts until 3:30 left on the timer... First minute or more is spent waiting fo opponents to appear

    Putting the ads thingie aside, i believe VIP can be exploited in one way.
    You get extra battle rewards irrespective of whether you wait till battle end or not unlike non-VIP.
    So the Trick is pretty simple, to go ahead and die (a speeder would be suitable) quick each battle, hit the cross and jump onto next battle. repeat the process and your good to go getting 1-2 and sometimes even 3 pearls per battle over time.
