Differences in Infamy Score

So we all know you get 24 infamy from winning, and lose 24 when you're defeated. That's fine and all, but I was at 903 infamy, did a few games (a couple wins and a couple losses) and much to my surprise, my Infamy is now 902. The Season leaderboard still shows my old Infamy and you can see my current infamy in the upper left. To add to that, the person ahead of me is beating me by only 1 point. Now I can add and subtract 24 to 903 all day but it never comes out to be 902 or 904. Did I just not notice that on one game I lost 25 infamy instead of 24? How does the 1 point difference occur?

 

I've had this happen before (notice my infamy gain compared to others). Maybe you won and lost a match and this happened. Then your leaderboard score didn't update?

 

Oh yeah, I guess I just hadn't noticed! Does it have anything to do with being on a winning/losing streak?

 

Honestly I have no clue. I posted a thread about this before and people said it just happens. There may be a reason for it but I just don't know. Sorry

 

Maybe it's a bug. Report it? have them look into it.

Well I've noticed losing, i'll sometimes lose 23 instead of 24 infamy...winning, I hardly pay attention but I have noticed the discrepancy. No clue.

 

1 infamy doesn't really matter tbh

 

When people mostly win or lose 24 infamy then most players will have multiples of 24, if one gets an extra point they'll have an advantage over anyone with the same win/loss ratio, and anyone that gets one less will have a disadvantage. It does matter.

 

i agree...at that level, does 1 infamy matter for the rank? i mean, if you're that high, isn't it more about tactics and mastering your boat rather than gold/sugar and rewards?? I must have it backwards.

 

What I mean is that two players with the same amount of wins and losses can have different positions because of a one point difference that came randomly to one of them, that's unfair in my opinion. Imagine if that decided the first and second places, or if it kicked someone out of the 4-10 rewards.

 

I see your point but the solution to that problem is...go win another game and stop relying on mere chance that he'll lose...create your own destiny, don't allow others to form it for you.
