Default Steering/Camera Settings

Hello all. Please direct me to the correct thread if it already exists, but after 30 minutes of searching online i couldn't find it. I'm playing on my iPhone 6s, iOS 12.0.1

I'm level 13 and really enjoying the game. However, I played around with the settings today trying to experiment with driving backwards. Horrible results. I'm trying to restore all settings to "what they were", but trial and error isn't helping. I've even uninstalled the game twice, reinstalled, and then linked it back to my old account. No matter what I try I end up driving into walls and getting stuck. Are there any screenshots of what the default "options"> "controls" are? There's only 6 boxes so you think it would be easy. Every time I think I have it correct, I'm good for 30 seconds, then stuck in a wall. Friends must love me right now. Infamy 400 was nice for a second there.

I recommend not having camera relative steering, makes speeder life VERY hard. You don't want to be rushing at your opponents just to shoot at them.

 

Well i m not speeder... But let me tell u it works fine for shooter

 

The default settings are different depending on when you joined.

If you are relatively new, then you want Camera Relative Steering on, and everything else under Movement off.

For the older style steering, you want everything off, except for Rotate Camera with Ship (though a lot of players prefer to turn that off too).

You might also need to turn down your look sensitivity, if you fiddled with that.

 

I only have three settings enabled:

• Center joystick to touch
• Cruise control
• Assisted steering

I did tweak some of the sensitivity settings on the screen customization... not sure which, but I at least turned up camera sensitivity to 1.7. I need to play with target lock too, the default target bounce is too much.

 

thank you all for your replies. I've only been playing for like 2 weeks. I'm going to make a chart check off all possible options. I never tweaked any of the settings until today. Its unreal how i can't figure this out. last 10 matches I've gotten stuck up against a wall and gotten destroyed.... total drag on my teams. such a fun game but so weird that i can't easily troubleshoot/fix it. all combinations seem to be "off"... which makes me wonder if I've also sustained a head injury.... that I can't remember ?

 

Perhaps from all that bumping into walls?

 

That is how all of us were after the recent agility changes. It takes time to get used to the controls... Keep trying new setting and you will find the right combo
