I am struggling in the range of 400~700 infamy, every time I hit 7xx ish I go back downwards to 400 again, tell me if my weapons are a good combination or else you can see could make any difference, I am not a funded player. Screenshot_20170615-092451.png

How about switching the railgun to a sniper cannon? I find that the dps is far more consistent with the shorter reload time. Besides, it doesn't have a reduced damage mechanic at close range and there's a high chance of some nice critical hits.
The normal cannon is awesome, good dps at close range. I've been using a similarly levelled one, and once I got the hang of it, I could climb up to 1k+ infamy. My advice is to keep it.
Not sure about the explosive one, but I've seen quite some instances of it being used, and it does really high burst dps. I would keep it, but if you want to mix things up, the swift torpedo is worth trying.
P.S. I'm using speeder, but I still think the weapon mechanics apply. Good luck :)

This. If you don't want a sniper, experiment with a Big Torpedo, and a mortar of some form. Really, it comes down to how well you use items, no single weapon is good in all situations, but your emphasis as a shooter should be on longer range combat.

I'd go with cannon and sniper cannon, and as 3rd take one of the mortars. Cannon, explosive cannon and a mortar could work too. Btw, if that perk is a range increaser that you can put in all weapons, I'd put it in the mortar.

In lower infamy, cannon, sniper cannon and a mortar is a great combo for a mk3 shooter. Explosive cannon is good too, but sniper is more reliable (longer range, faster projectile) - if you're an expert at leading your shots, explosive has the edge. Torpedoes are hard to get the hang of but are worth practicing with til you get good - can be devastating in the right situation. Keep the rail gun and level it up on the side when you have extra resources - it's definitely more effective as a 4th weapon than a 3rd.
