Container or Chest?

For 4000 pearls there are a couple options, which would you do?

a) Epic Container (10x Premium Chests, Guaranteed Epic and Legendary Piece) for 3900 Pearls

b) 12 Premium Chests (There is an occasional deal for 3 for 1000 Pearls)

Is the 2 extra chests worth 100 pearls and sacrificing the the guaranteed Epic Item and Legendary piece?
It's a bit of a toss-up for me, particularly since my only legendary items is worthless (Std Mortar).

 

Epic chest is better imo guaranteed epic and legendary part. It’s too easy to go through chests and only get rares

 

Ditto.. but never have 3900 pearls at once.. lol

 

Definitely not with these guild wars that you never get a rest from

 

IMO it depends on if you focus on rares or epics and leggys

 

Epics are the focus. I want to build something to finally replace the T5 Rares I've been running for 5 months.

I've bought 3 containers with pearls
1) 1 epic repair box which isn't great since I don't run Fixer
2) 1 epic repair pulse, and 1 frost launcher. Both also worthless as a Shooter.
3) 1 epic fire bomb, and 1 epic big shield. Finally!

So it looks like stats tell me the guaranteed item is the way to go after my non-guaranteed chests produced only 2 epic items in 27 openings. My RNG luck is generally bad...I had a streak of 46 legendary raffle draws without hitting a legendary piece (1 in 12 chance)... then drew a Standard Mortar.

 

I opened 12 Epic Crates once. Think I got two Epics from it? I don’t remember, but I’d do the second options.

Statistically you get more bang for your buck. You get a 100% to get an epic and 9 more 10% to get more epics. With the 12 individual chest you still have a 30% chance of not getting an epic.

You got 3 epic items out of 12... 25% odds of getting an Epic item! All 3 are ones I'm dying for (EX canon, Sniper, Big Torp).

I opened a container... got 2 epics, scrapped one because it's the 9th copy, and the other is a yellow item. Both useless for me on a Shooter so it's 3 out of 4 container fails for me. That's a good way to ensure I'll never drop actual cash on RNG.

 

I’m saving up all I get, yellow or red. Can’t be just one ship once you reach 3,000+ Infamy. You have more ability to work on different guild quests.

But yeah, I’m on that same boat. I’m never going to drop cash on this game.

 

I just opened a container and had it drop 3 epic and enough parts to finish 3 more. What the epics are don’t matter to me since I n Ed parts.

 

3900 pearls for less than 200 epic parts isn't much of a deal.

 

Personally I think containers should adjust to the level each player is in... For me right now containers are worthless investment, by spending pears in winning the wars I get more legendary parts... and I don’t want rare items, I’m just interested in the epic ones, items that I get again from the wars.

So maybe after level 40 for example, the containers could give you intead of 9 chests 4 or 3, but you get a legendary part and two epic items for example

It’s just random chance really. It’s sucks a lot when it doesn’t happen though.

 

I think it depends what you want. If you want a specific weapon, then it’s probably better hitting up one of the offer boxes.

The only time I got an Epic Crate was when I had 9 legendary pieces, so I figured it’d be worth saving up to get the tenth.

Not sure about the “rare” chests. I’ve pulled a legendary piece, and lots of Epics out of them, but you can also come up empty handed, so I guess it depends how lucky you feel.

 

Not sure there's any better way to spend pearls than buying chests. Boosts? poor return. Expand inventory? It's the best counter-measure against RNG. Training? poor return.
