carronade on a defender

    Hey Folks,
    I just received my first legendary and it is a
    carronade. I primarily play a defender and unfortunately based on what I read, this may not be the best weapon for me. Right now I have a level 4 defender, 2 shy of getting to five. If I upgrade Swift and I focus on range perks, what are your thoughts on equipping the carronade in the third the weapon slot. I appreciate your feedback. Thank!

    Oh, my other weapon is a cannon and sniper cannon.

    Of course you should use it. Every +1 projectile from swift gives you 100+ damage alone, not to mention the range, damage, and decrease enemy speed buffs you get.

    Since you are using a defender just slap it on, train swift all the way carronade and make those speeders wish they never came near you.
