Carronade Change

I keep hearing how the carronade is an actual usable item now, and that it's being used quite frequently now since it's been changed. But for the life of me I can't see what has seeing changed on it. So what was changed and is it only good on the speeder?

I use it on enforcer, but I think it could be used on almost any ship well, if you know how to use it. it's especially helpful to kill speeders

 

All they did was add a distance buff because while they switched training talents, but didn't buff or add any. Overall carronade is a tradeoff because its talents conflict with overboost, nitro, and speeder, so if you use any of two those you will be taking a hit somewhere. That being said, the buff was a good one... I can almost see that it is definitely useful weapon, but still is more of an end game weapon because it needs most of those talents.
