Buggy Radar...

    How can point and shoot weapons target my boat when there are no boats on my radar. This happened at the very beginning of game when boats should be at maximum distance from each other. It wasn''t a mortar that hit my boat.

    Another example.....how can a whole lot of boats appear to show up from nowhere just in front of my boat??? (Range 10)

    Without any images or videos it is difficult to say anything. One possibility is that you were lagging very badly (not data was transmitted for almost 15 seconds) and when the connection recovered you finally saw the ships that came close to you during that time. If you are experiencing something like this constantly please capture some video so we can assist you better.

    it could be a server between you and the games server your connected to. my router software has a trace route feature in it. I have seen higher millisecond counts (can cause lag) a few times pinging rovio website, sometimes it can be an issue between your dsl service (changes done by the service provider ) to provider's server you connect to, sometimes restarting the router can clear the problem. software is never perfect. depending on what you're playing on iphone, android phone or tablet, etc. the more stuff running in the background, can cause lagging, closing apps you aren't using or need running may help.
