Just had an thought.
Developers might have refused to give us the secret sauce for contribution but via these medals we can see what was our contribution in the match
So it might lead to less bitching about the rewards in forum.

I will start with the bitching then. I noticed after a couple matches I lost the bonus offer to watch a video. I am willing to watch a ton of ads to help pas the wallets of the developers and now after a couple of matches they are gone. What’s up with that

 

It happens when ur net is slow.
Happened to me before the update too. I suggest contact ur service provider and moreover it's not relevant to this thread
