Battle bay has changed!

    After a long time update finally rolls and it was huge. We got way too many things in game. But the question is Is the game same as we were playing before?
    From what I have seen minis are growing. Stealing kills are a thing now. 2k infamy player is fleeting with 800 infamy guildmate. People are running low tier weapons just to complete achievements and same with low tier ship. Update sure brought lots of new things and fixed a few things but it changed the way battle bay was played in past. I have seen a battle where a shooter and defender waited for each others to hit 700hp enforcer and enforcer ran away. Shooter was killed by mine and defender was killed by enforcer. These types of things are seen often in game. But there is no going back now. Battle bay is all about stealing kills and completing quests. As long as quest remains, we have to get used to stealing kills. So rovio team, twist quest a little, count overall damage done by certain weapons and make it a quest. It won't stop kill steal but it will stop kill steal from being a goal. Leave your thoughts below about what do you guys think about update.

    1. Lets first add an option to contribute pearls to skip quests(max 2 per board or so, to prevent pearling), and remove the ridiculous ones(napalm, flare, firebomb).

    2. Also, I personally think that the update in general is great! However, the points you mentioned ring true. Though it brought guilds together, this is a major problem that needs to be adressed. But there needs to be some other solution to this than damage count, because some guilds will just stay on top because of their weapon levels.

    3. Finally, for guild quests, members should not be forced to spectate. I mean, devs, is this a glitch or is it intentional? @The Grim Repair ?

    I started to use a frost blaster, and every time I use it I get a "Nice Shot" pop-up that ruins my aim for my swift torp. "Nice Shot" on a frost blaster? How can you miss with this weapon? I'd rather have something pop up that says "You just shot a weapon!" or "Good Job Sailor. Shooting weapons is the Best Way to win a battle." Than I would be certain that the devs are trolling us.

    As someone on the forum said before, make the napalm guild quest not kills but time inside the napalm. Firebomb and flare gun should not change this way because you can't escape their duration, unlike napalm launcher.

    How about flaregun and firebomb get that for assists and not kills? I mean, these are support weapons, not damage dealers and killers

    Yeah it would be reasonable that way. another way is to count overall damage done by that weapon and make it quest. Like deal 10000 damage with fire bomb.

    Guys do y'all see the rewards that are given???????????? Aint no way devs would change this up well I think they won't because if they put it damaged bases that would make quests too easy? Like nah this is about spending seen a guild with over 150 x5 boosters buy boosters to finish quests basically that's what devs wanted coz I'm sure they don't put epic pieces in the shop as regularly as rare(Buy epic crate to get parts faster ) meh they won't change this imo it's a good cash grab spend money to get some good perks/ even legendary weapon(legendary free roll gives legendary weapons) now tell me why would rovio make a legendary weapon easy to get? Nah

    You know what? You're right. I started farming gold hoping to get ONE epic perk. And now, my smaller account, 400+ infamy, gets an EPIC crit chance perk for an UNCOMMON sniper cannon?!? Man, this update was NUTS!
    Ya, maybe we don't need to change anything up.

    You made a valid point there. Who doesn't love free stuffs. Guild quests aren't bad at all but some of them are wayyyy to hard to complete. Flare gun kill, napalm kill etc. Risk of kill steal and risk of kill not counting due to match lost and risk of waiting for kill to happen and suddenly sniper crit and you are dead instead. Any way those quest can be tweaked a little would be appreciated.

    There will probably be some changes and tweaks in the quests when we see what works and what doesn't.

    I shot a torp and hit a team mate accidentally and got a "nice shot" pop up. I was thinking if the dev are mocking me or what?

    Still too tough for baby guilds, @Bennuator. In smaller leagues, people steal kills. Even if they see an opponent at 12 health in napalm, they still waste a snipe shot on them. I agree that it is mostly EZ for us upto mid boards, it gets impossible when it's 72 kills.

    Hehe I know the feeling, some players just have a sensitive trigger finger. I just had an enemy ship in my napalm with about 50hp left and got a pop-up that it got destroyed by a shipwreck... That was even worse!!! :D

    After the patch (and the current importance of getting kills for quests) even Nightmare players steal kills like the one you describe :(

    Imagine losing that match though. Getting quad kills with flare gun and losing that battle. But hats off to those napalm kills. Again imagine 4 person on team waiting to steal kill with blast cannon, trip torp and grenade launcher while napalm is taking away 38 hp per sec. At last, imagine being only player with napalm in the entire guild. I know this isn't your problem that there are no other player in our guild using napalm but there are quite few who have it in smaller leagues. It is hard on them.

    As I've said before, I've seen way too many teammates and enemies brought back up from two-digit health to count on burn damage taking them out. Sorry, but I'll be "stealing kills" all match long if it means a better chance of a win.

    True, it's absolutely dependant on the situation - is there a healer in the game / stille alive? does the opponent have the strongest bandage in the bay? etc :)

    I think maybe what's changed is that people wait for a chance to deliver the finishing blow. They'll pause, and keep their quest weapon ready to go for the moment the target's health drops below some X amount.

    And you kinda have to, some of the quests are really hard.
