Attacking A Player In The Capture Area

Hey guys, I just wanted to know. When you fire at an enemy player trying to capture, when you hit them, does it reset the capturing process or does it keep going? Please let me know. Thanks!

 

It resets the capture timer.

 

Yes picture if you will, you're in the capture area, the clock is timing down and an annoying little shooter is buzzing around avoiding your shots and sniping you every half minute resetting the capture % clock, now decide to hunt it down or risk a draw or worse.

 

Each individual ship in the capture area has it's own timer. The capture timer you see when unfriendlies are in it is a total seconds they captured.
If there is more than 1 ship in the capture circle, by hitting 1 target will only reset 1 counter and deduct from the total seconds captured.
For example 2 ships are in the capture circle, the timer start running. They are in there for 10 seconds, the timer should show 20 seconds and running.
You managed to hit 1 in the circle, it's counter reset. Total timer shown now will be 10 seconds and running.
