Adjusted Infamy Scoring Proposal

    So I have seen a number of posts on Infamy and how to adjust the infamy to let people who do well in a game get more and people who try to tank get punished and so forth.

    Here is what I think would be a reasonable suggestion:

    Infamy is calculated based on a base amount (24 seems to be the norm) plus the number of stars you receive.

    So if you lose and you get 1 star you would only lose 23 infamy. -24+1

    If you win and you got 3 stars then you get 27 infamy. +24+3

    For Fixers your heal amount should count towards the calculation for stars (not sure if it does or not).

    That this is a bad idea because the star system is absolutely not fair, and the last thing we need is for that unfairness to carry over to infamy

    I don't think it's a bad idea because this promote people to do well in a battle. The only problem with the OP suggestion is the star system giving more stars to fire weapons. People with fire weapons got credited for the all damages others deal when the enemies are on fire instead of just the extra damage from the fire. Other reason why I think fire weapons are unfair is because every time you burn, it's counted as a hit so your hit rate when up with fire weapons.

    There's more that's unfair about it than fire weapons, as every fixer can confirm

    Not sure how many Infamy Proposal threads are needed.

    I do not agree with the artificially generated Infamy. As in the +3, +2, +1 stuff from stars. The current infamy is calculated by subtracting the equal amount of infamy from the opposing team. So the numbers aren't inflated or created from no where. When you defeat a team, you've subtracted it directly from a player you have beaten. And that player earned that infamy from defeating someone else down the chain. The moment you introduce artificially generated infamy, you create infamy inaccuracy and the number would be inflated and therefore in-accurate.

    So if you were to LOSE as much as you WIN, you should have the SAME infamy as you started... with your system the person will always have positive infamy which is WRONG.
