Add a Nightmare subsection on the forum

Headline sums it up I guess. The forum is pested through and through with clueless lowlevel players, and its making meaningful conversation impossible.

By all means let them keep their space, but could we have a subsection that requires ingame account confirmation & >x infamy (fx 4000) to gain posting privelege for? I'd much rather read what Yellowocean has to suggest, than having to read yet another post from a lvl 45 who thinks evil corrupt matchmaking is whats keeping him below 1k infamy.

Just maybe some of the rare appearances of the quality players could turn into higher activity - So many players out there that a much better than me, I want a place where I can learn from them. In the current state this forum is a place you go whenever you feel the need to become 5% dumber.

 

Don't forget that Ace and master players can post valuable messages too

New players absolutety have valid opinions, they have tons more authority when discussing lowlevel issues for example.

I dont want to take anything away from anyone, all I dream of is a place where discussions could focus on the stuff I find interesting (endgame)

 

@Ash KOT I think a section where low lvl / low infamy players can't talk would actually be great, as long as they can still read it. Give everyone access to this "nightmare" subforum, but let only those with verified >4k infamy have the ability to post. I think that could be great, and I'm not even in nightmare league.

The VIP chat is such a friendly place heh, decided to disable VIP again after a week. The quest benefits are great, but not worth having popups with matchmaking complaints and random moaning between every game.

Sure its plausible, thats not the same as them actually wanting to do it though My experience from posting endgame meta snapshots is that the comments always turn into mk4 players commenting that their boat certainly isnt overpowered at 450 infamy, having 1 small subsection of the forum with protection against that would be a blessing.

 

As a nitemare player for now over 8 months... the players most likely to troll and do worthless writing in the VIP site has always been under 4k.

Doesn't mean 4k+ players don't troll. But majority of criticism good players give towards others are purely game related. And these are the best of the best making the comments. As Iron sharpens iron.

I personally couldn't care less to read a comment from a player I have never battle against once. Or hasn't killed my ship once.

At that point any comment about the game.... doesn't relate.

The game style needed above 4k. Is completely different than 2k.

I have no problem people reading anything written.

But agree whole heartedly with Kitterini that the chat function should be limited by infamy. Same as me going to a master' league discussion now. It's been over 10 months since I was masters. What do I know about what these newer players are facing now?
Part of discussion is admitting what u know. And what u dont.

And when VIP gets overrun with nonsense. Players stop their subscription. Ie. Less money.

My suggestion is more nuanced. Keep VIP. But have a couple channels. 3 tiers. And allow access everywhere. But limit chat capability to boats ability.

Let aptitude determine one altitude. And access.

I know a lot of nightmare players who think the game is rigged, I guess you'll be kind of disapointed if devs created what you are asking for
I agree it'd be cool to have sessions of the forum for different leagues on Strategy and class discussion
