Sell ships for half price

    Simple as that. Downgrade the ship mk and get half the gold of the upgrade in return, just like selling perks.

    I have a fixer mk5 that I don't use anymore, could definitely use that gold for other mks.

    Makes sense?

    It does. I scrapped all my fixer equipment, and my fixer is mk3, therefore, I would get about 300,000 gold for downgrading to mk1

    Wouldn't work out. Too many issues, like players getting to 3k and downgrading all their ships. Would be nice to see more options to win gold though

    The same reason people get to 3k and switch to a boat 2 levels lower than the boat they used to get there?

    Also so they can say "I got to 3k as mk3"

    It's not possible at the moment hence the idea by the OP. @The Otherguy was making the statement that if he could downgrade his ship to MK1, that's his expected gold return.
