    ok, just for the record, it’s not ‘M K’ as in ‘em kay’....when referring to boat level....it’s ‘mark’ - mark 4, mark 5 etc....mk = MARK.

    The proper way is to use Roman numerals as opposed to their Arabic counterparts.
    Mk I
    Mk II
    Mk III
    Mk IV
    Mk V
    Mk VI
    Mk VII

    You are WRONG - The word mark followed by a number is a method of designating a version of a product. It is abbreviated to ‘MK’ - short for ‘Mark’ - check Wikipedia or British Military Practice - rifle designation or United States Navy - configurations of equipment.
