Received 10 parts when I cashed in my item pieces

Little problem, purchased 2500 pearls for 19.99. Used the pearls to purchase 6 premium chest. As a result of opening the chest and scraping some of the weapons from the chest I received my 10th item piece on epic -green , rare -yellow ,and rare red. However when i attempted to combine my pieces for the item i instead recieved 10 parts and the item pieces were removed. I even have to inventory slots with rare yellow item pieces, one at 9 and one at 1.
Please fix this, I feel like I wasted $20.

 

You scrapped it

 

It behaved as if I scrapped it but I actually tried to combine them. I still have two inventory spaces for both rare yellow item pieces and red item pieces, one of which says 9 item pieces and one that says,1 item piece. Shouldn't they be combined as 10 item pieces?
Something went wrong, they scrapped instead of combining.
