Matchmaking is Definitely Bugged

    You are a speeder, no? And you are Ace 1? Well stop expecting the MMR to be both quick and accurate, it did the best it could. 195 is the exact difference in infamy here. And it's not like mk7s have more slots or anything, they merely have a stat advantage. You have two mk5s, two mk7s and a mk6. They have three mk6s and two mk5s. But to compensate, they have a fleet. You guys are randoms. The fleet results in rather unbalanced matchups, but there's nothing a matchmaker can do about it. Imo, it was a pretty fair fight. When two speeders decide to fleet, they can take on giants. And mate, their guild is cereal killers. Lotsa street cred.

    So I guess league, skills and "street cred" are now included in the matchmaking algorithm and this makes it fair lmao.

    Well, throughout the first half of the year, the whole forum was filled with whiners complaining that the matchmaking isn't fair. It's only comparing infamy, and this is not fair, they complained.
    There were some loong discussions and finally Rovio stepped in and created a matchmaking more in the way the whiners wanted.
    This is the result.

    Now you are all saying: Oh please Rovio, give us back the old matchmaking, you know, the one we whined so much about.

    And maybe, Rovio will react again and give the players once more the matchmaking they wanted so badly. Amen.

    Lol. People are always gonna complain. But if your going to talk about the game being fair for the masses, then look at it like this, most players are stuck below 2 k infamy, those were most of the people complaining about match making, now with this change, i have not really been placed in too many unbalanced games, but when you climb the ladder, less and less people are going to be up there, so match making is going to be hard. Its either tha game is gonna be fair for the higher players, or its gonna be fair for the lower levels. And because the lower level players outnumber the higher level players, the game has to be tailored to the masses. Nightmare and ace had their fun, let everyone else have fun now. Sorry, but im not sorry.

    Agreed. Wud be difficult to climb if that were always the case. It’s like your France and you have to battle America.

    Yes match making isn't working well at all levels of the ladder. I played from 800 to 1600 infamy for months in 4.000 battles. And I can tell your skills do not give you any advantage. Your victory depends on chance. The speed of your boat, the precision of your hits and their impacts are differents each time. NetWork or BBay servers ?

    People want the easy win, lets be more skill based. Most people, especially nighmare and ace league, like to have to biggest hitting combo on their ship, like the big torp frost combo. Or flaregun cannon. What about just using your favorite weapons?

    Not really complaining though(well at least for me), this thread is just pointing out the ridiculousness in the matchmaking that happens in 3k+
