How to stop capture effectively when all 5 unfriends are capturing!

I know many of you might know this,but here's a simple thing dont focus target on one boat it will just stop capturing abruptly,But not reduce it since other 4 boats contribute on its part.To stop capture effectively you need to shoot atleast two different boat.I might be wrong,Whats your experience?

 

I wanted to post it in strategy and class,Damn!!

 

Yeah each boat has its own capture score so you need to do absolutely what you said (i learned the hard way)
