Season advancement issue

hello,

Here is the issue. I ended the season with enough points to advance, yet I never gained enough infamy to automatically pass to the next group. However, I did gain enough points to cycle up yet when the new season advanced it showed -4 points needed. Now I need something in the range of 1700 points to advance, which is a bit high I think.

Any advice?

Season Points Are Not Needed To Advance Into Next League, Only Infamy Can Bring You Up

If I Remember... Season Points Only Upgrade Your Badge Level.

So Yeah

 

Season points are only for the nifty badge surrounding your captain level...Your badge will change/upgrade once you have obtained those points. Then it tells you how many point till the next captains badge. The badge always shows a negative balance upgrade (at end of season/beginning of new season)..then displays new balance needed for the next badge. The higher you climb in infamy the more points you acquire towards the badge. Climbing divisions is only infamy and win based, what division you are in is relativity unrelated to the badge.

 

Season Points Are Really Useless AF So There

 

Captain Points have nothing to do with Season bracket advancement. They only upgrade the look of that little badge in the top left corner.
Your infamy is what gets you into a higher bracket.

Yeah, it's pretty vestigial. According to Rovio, (I'm paraphrasing here, don't recall the exact quote) captain badges are effectively a way of having a reflection of how long you've been playing, as there's no way to get badge points other than in season end rewards. As your badge levels up, it just provides an aesthetic difference to show your overall experience.

 

And also the -4 thing is quite normal for me when i get my season rewards. Reload the game and your badge would update but really badges are off no use.
