so I loved this game at first. I play fixer, so watched YouTube videos and tutorials with the goal of being as effective as possible. Shortly after purchasing my mk5 fixer I reached 3600 infamy, which I was pretty proud of. But something's happened in the last month where my hard earned infamy just tanks and tanks. I'm struggling to even stay above 2800 anymore, which means my rewards are absolutely pitiful. Even worse, I can't even earn battle stars for guild quests! At best I can support a guild mate. I hate that something like a high score early on now just hangs over my head constantly. This game lacks a sense of steady progress...you spend all this time grinding to earn gold and sugar, then wait for upgrades to finish only to get boned in matchmaking. I keep playing because I've already invested a lot but on the verge of deleting it until some major issues get addressed.

Are you me? I hit 3600s with an Mk5 Fixer and since a couple seasons ago I've been pushed lower and lower.

The suggestion I made in a past thread was that a loss with a high contribution score should result in your "infamy floor" being lowered; eg, the game recognizes that you did your best, you aren't deliberately losing, and you shouldn't be penalized. This definitely affects Fixers, because we can bust our boats trying to heal but all it takes is one teammate with a LOL YOLO SWAG mindset to suicide into the enemy at the start and it's almost a guaranteed loss.

I hear you man! I hope the Devs address this issue. I'm still trying like mad to win every game but when an upgrade costs over a million in sugar and I'm only awarded 4,000 sugar for a win it just gets depressing.

I'm going to try to throw an "Economy" post together at some point - not the gold/sugar economy, but rather the "infamy economy" to address this. There's no shortage of newbies who are coming out of bot matches at 500 infamy with their shiny new Mk1/Uncommon setup and getting tossed straight into matches with Mk4s sporting Rares.

I'm more concerned about putting in hours and hours of work only to feel like I'm sliding backwards instead of moving forward.

I just played a game and won. I caused almost 6k damage. I didn't receive any stars. One teammate earned a star and dealt 1k damage. Another teammate earned a star with only dealing 2K damage...

If a game starts feeling like work, I stop playing it.

This is a concern for me. I got my speeder (running all rare items) up to 3500 infamy just by being on good teams. At that level, I was hitting 3000-7000 damage which is a pittance compared to most. I was basically a distraction rabbit. Now I've dropped to around 3000 which is right where I should be. I don't want to be penalized for getting lucky.

Yeah, me2thanks. I main as a fixer and once hit 2000 infamy by some lucky win streak and good fleats. After that I started loosing and dropped fast somewhere around 1400 infamy. It was awful, no matter what I did I just kept loosing. Thats what it felt atleast.

Well now after the update and guild missions have to say that my focus ain't infamy anymore. I concentrate on quests and my infamy goes up and down around 1200-1700, but couldn't care less. I'm sure it will rise as I get better gear but my focus has switched to helping my guild and I don't worry about infamy anymore. It's lot easier this way you know.
