I hope there is no KDR tracking

This game has blown me away! It has nearly everything going for it and so far I haven't spent a dime on it... yet ;-)
However, as with most PvP games, there are always those who want to brag about their kill vs death ratios and I for one would think it would be refreshing to see a game that focuses on winning as a team instead of how one person plays for their own stat benefit.
So with that being said, is there any way to view the meaningless kill vs death stats in this game? I am hoping there isn't for the good of team play.

 

Theres a way to see how many battles you have play and how many you have won. You can also view how many kills you have gotten but not deaths. And you can also view your Win Ratio for the past 30 days in your profile.

 

If its a team game you should get to choose your team. With all the afk players and lack of teamwork or communication, it's hardly a team game.

 

Well hopefully that will stop the plethora of people who only play these games for KDR stats. Thanks for the replies!

 

I wouldnt mind knowing what my KDR is.. But I dont think it would bother me as much, not to the point that ill be obsessed with it. I do enjoy destroying my opponent just as much as the next guy, but ultimately the goal is to win and I think that is true for all players.

 

No not for all players. On most of the console PvP games it is the only thing for most of the community, and it poisons teamwork.

 

Maybe for games like Battlefield 1, Battlefront, Planetside etc etc. I used to play R6 Siege on console and It certainly didnt feel that way to me. I think Battlebay is closer to siege than it is with other PVP/FPS games. I do see your point about stat chasing instead of wanting to win, but for this game the objective is very clear. Its to win either by wiping out the opposing team or by capture. Theres no other game mode, we dont respawn, etc etc. I think for now we are safe.

 

We are safe as long as the brilliant developers for this amazing game keep this particular stat hidden. Mark my words: as soon as there is a way to see this stat there will be s "Whatz yur KDRzzz?" thread within minutes.
I have played all the popular console PvP games and I feel like I missed some of the fun maintaining KDR instead of just playing for team wins and I am really digging BB because it is all fun and no KDR tracking.
