no more monthly updates?

    just curious what happened, i recall someone saying that the game would receive monthly updates( was a vague comment regarding updates) jww if that's the agenda still or what the deal is there's plenty that could be implemented considering the excessive in game player feed back.

    It was said by the devs that they planned for monthly updates. However, this also means that them releasing an update only on balancing/nerfing is considered good enough for a monthly update. Considering how small their dev team is, it makes enough sense to me how they are taking there time. Zeus and Miika have said that the devs team IS WORKING on completely new features to add to the game. So get excited for that. However we do not know when it will be coming. August is considered "rovio's" vacation month where a lot of the staff take breaks. Now that September is here we all hope new things are on the way

    Rather than doing another minor monthly update I think they're going for some new content, which naturally would take more time but in the end we'll all appreciate it

    But they release some more angry bird stuff lol.
    Yea in 1-3 more months we will appreciate a new update :)

    Judging from their update talk. My guess on what's to come is this
    1. Make guilds have more meaning
    2. Misc things/balancing/tweaks/enhancements
    3. Training mode/sandbox (where there is no rewards and no penalty for wanting to try out new items/ships. Also there will be training bots for shooting practice)
    4. THE ALL ANTICIPATED GUILD WARS!!!

    And in between these new maps/items/etc
    All of these are my opinions based on what I heard from the devs.

    True. But angry birds have almost NOTHING to do with battle bay. The devs who work on battle bay are being paid to work on Battle Bay. They have nothing to do with anything else at rovio (I assume)

    I'd assume they have Rovio staff members helping with a Rovio game. May be wrong though, but they could use the help...

    If you ask me, all the staff should merge over to battle bay and forget angry birds. They would probably be more successful anyway. Battle Bay has INCREDIBLE potential for competitive gameplay/tournaments. All in the pocket of an average user to play whenever they want! If you ask me, I'd rather put my money on the game franchise that isn't a decade old...

    We don't actually have "vacation month" which is partly also the issue. Part of the team keeps their vacations on July and part is away on August, which means we are short staffed for two months making progress slower than normally. We have now the full team finally back at the office and going forward at full steam again.

    You assumed correctly. All game teams are fully independent and have nothing to do with other games.

    Nice to know there were actually 2 months of low staff in the office, lots assumed there was 1 and that's why we have been so impatient.

    I mean we will still be impatient but now we have a more clear reason as to why there hasn't been an update so far :p
