Is it just me or are there more floaters lately

    Seems like every time I get around 1400 in for me or towards the end of a infamy level where I will be getting up to the next level in a season I get paired up with amazingly dumb people who are just heading straight into battle alone who float or who just don't hang around a healer
    Anybody else experiencing this?

    Maybe just you. Make sure to report them after game so they are banned!

    Floating means just being idle at the same place for the whole time, which means you are doing nothing to help Your team mates .... Which is why you can get reported by some player/s for it.

    Happens with me sometimes too but it again gets to normal after some battles.

    Yeah it's super annoying! I'm sure in some cases it's bad connection but when you've knocked out 4 of their ships and are low on health, and some guy with 2000 health is floating, and then you die...

    It is unclear what the OP is asking. Dumb players or floating? Title and content of the post do not match. Does not compute! Does not compute!!

    Other than your desperation kicking in, no, MM does not target you with dumb players when you rise in infamy too much. On the other hand, I would like to know if Miika has built an algorithm for identifying dumb players for future use..release the list!!! We know it exists. ;-)

    Floating is a term used for not playing. You just log into a match and don't do anything at all. This is not a dumb (but it is annoying) per say if they do it for their own benefit (such as tanking to farm as opposed to a simple disconnect), and it hurts the rest of the team. So it is selfish and it is reportable, leading to a possible ban.

    Your thread seemed specific to this. And it was more general, being about players preventing you from advancing.

    I have written as dry a response as possible to explain.

    Someone needs to make a thread about report system(especially floating), because most of the people i know don't know how it works(i was surprised) and they never do report.
