Big shield adds more hp than it shows

So my speeder has 1802 hp. And my shield has 830 hp. 1802+830=2632. But my shield adds 855 hp to my ship. What am I missing here.. Lol

I have noticed this as well on my defender, the shield gives more to than it says it does

 

I have a feeling I should have kept quiet about this...

 

i know. I'm just giving you a hard time.
And it's technically not the shield, it's the hp perks you have added. Mine do the same. Instead of +50 the perks give me +55

 

Ah, well that's confusing. I'm trying to see what the highest amount of hp could be for a defender. Considering they are mk7 with all training options on all characters in favor to increasing hp to boats/shields/bigshields and considering the defender has all level 50 legendaries (1 big shield rest standard shields) with all epic shield hp perks and 4 epic shield hp perks on each of the 3 weapons added in the red slots aswell. Etc etc

Just a curiosity I have right now. Any mathematicians out there

Yes as said before it's due to training. Certain skills will do something like increase hp of ship by 5% so when u put shield on the ship u get some more HP

 

You can tap on the health of your boat in the loadout and see how the health adds up to the current one. And also shield health is added to base health of a ship, so any + %health talent will be effective on the shield health. Probably that's the reason.

 

I also have the exact same problem!

 

Shield hp is added to ship before ship health %'s multipliers.

Ill bet your a speeder with either Sinklair Lvl 10 or Swift lvl 21, but not both!

 

Ah. That makes sense. 830x.03=the 25 extra that I got. Sweet, now I can do my math and estimate what a defender's hp can reach.
