With the current situation, majority of the gameplay it is safe to say that some of our teammate love to camp and stay still in one location and spam their mortar or sniper. This kind of gameplay should be discourage. The game should promote togetherness not individuality in order to win. I not saying all shooters are camper, but in most matches that I played there is always at least two shooters within the team just camp at the spawn point. As a fixer my duty is to repair our ships to the best of our abilities. But it is very difficult in doing so if the teammates are in two entire different location.

Campers are a part and a pest of every FPS out there. But ya, if there is a nonviolent solution to stop them(if they listen) then I'm all for it.

I love those mk5 defenders that stay back with 3 snipers and camp all game tho.

(At least when they are on my team..)

I don't have much of an issue incorporating a long range strategy. For example, if you have relatively low hit points it's stupid to go up front else you die and it's 5 on 4, or else you need a fixer, which are also horrible up front as they have no offensive deterrent, are still a primary target for the opponent, and repair slowly.

As a side note, I just got out of a match where I had half of my hit points demolished in a couple hits, so I turned to the fixer, who simply went around me to follow another other ship with 100% health... didn't bother to repair me as they went by, so I took a frustrated shot at them about the same time they got multi-mortared from the opponent. Serves them right. If you are going to be a fixer, be a teammate! If you have a fixer on your team, USE THEM, don't just run away by yourself and get killed.... they generally can't keep up, and if you ditch them you are again putting the team in a 5 on 4 disadvantage.

We need plenty more chat options for many other situations as well.

There is a solution campers can't hit from a far that accurately so that means speeder is their natural predator cause speeders can dodge mortars and can boost so it will be hard for the campers to hit em

I have said that to myself for many months now. like WAIT, FOLLOW, or STOP would be a breathe of fresh air from the limited options we have now. You can only say TOGETHER so many times...

A "Watch out!" For a chat option or they could just add a actual chat where you can type

I think an actual text chat would distract teammates a lot and get people out of focus

I do agree that something like this would be nice. What I often see is people are being cowards and stay back firing long ranged stuff, which if my team doesn't have a fixer and the enemy does, is an automatic loss. The game doesn't really have a command which I can use to tell them to stop doing that.

@Kitterini well "attack" can still be done from long range by firing an occasional sniper / LR mortar / torpedo

I think what we're really looking for here is something like "Rush!". It's clear, a single word, and positive (compared to "don't camp" which is negative)

I think Attack! works well enough. It's very clear. Though, Watch out! could be very useful. We have nothing like that besides Negative! but even in cases where I'm trying warn my team of in-coming torpedoes or mines they are headed for, Negative! doesn't seem to fit.

You mean when they're not on your team?

The "don't camp" command seems nice, but I'd also want to see a "charge" command

No, when they are on my team. They sit back with 3 long range snipers and take out enemies from afar. And if it ever comes down to a 1v1 they are usually full hp because they stayed back and out of fire. They can be so clutch! (If I have 3 nice level snipers by the time I hit level 29 I will buy mk5 defender and do this too)

I hope they add a feature that can ping like Dota. Just simply tap the name above and it will show "!". Just to simply alert your teammate. It will make a huge difference.

Anyway, I just realized today how cowardly awful most Shooters play. They just stay back comfortably in their safe place and shoot whatever long range weapon they have while Defenders/Speeders/Enforcers charge. What's even worse are Defenders doing the same thing.

I think we need a "Incoming" button for say, early torpedoes and mortars so our more... erm, oblivious teamates dont screw us over.

I think the reason behind 'Don't Camp' is quite reasonable because the time and time again, I see speeders who coordinate and done it's job of diverting the enemy attention on them, but.....where is the backup of shooters........all the way back at the spawn point who is afraid of health damage, refusal to move and spam their weapon at range. They only move when they run away once attention on them. I mean if the button is installed into game. Before match, a consent is reach that we 'don't camp', even if we lose, it is more acceptable that we lose because of unfriend that better skill over us
