Weekend Warriors suck

Once again, I have noticed that the weekends draw out the worst players. I get teamed up with people who do not know how to play. I went from 900 infamy down to 415 infamy, solely due to losing matches with 4 other players who had no idea what they were doing. There is something wrong with the matchmaking mechanism, to put higher level players with incompetent players of lower infamy. I mean seriously, I had one match where three players had under 100 hit points, and I had like 4000 points and the team lost 5-0.

Sometimes you face a team of Idiots, other times the Idiots are on your team, now and then you'll look like the idiot.

Keep at it and you'll end up a at whichever infamy your current skills+gear belong.

Focus on what you can change (yourself) and less on how good or bad you think your team was.

Having the most damage doesn't necessarily indicate you are the best player on your team lol

 

But the stars are a good indicator are they not? The losses where I got no kill, but stars.

The only constant between the LOSING battles is the day of the week: Saturday and Sunday. I play every day. During weekdays, I consistently improve my Infamy score. On weekends, I consistently lose half my Infamy points. Here is a good example from this morning:



Now look at my score, and the three idiots below me. I scored almost 3x the points of the next lowest player. I scored twice the score of the ENTIRE SET of the lower three players.

Having the most points doesn't make you the best player. But performing that badly means you are a bad player.

Yes indeed you are. You're playing against experienced players in Mk5 ships. I'm playing a Mk4 and getting matched with Mk3 and even Mk2. They are noob idiots. I am not, I'm working my way up slowly by grinding, not paying cash for it.

 

This happens to everyone, it's worse when you reach nightmare because there's fewer people around your infamy so it usually puts you against 1-2 player around 0-300 your infamy, and the other 3 are below or about the same. Vice-versa for your team. Anyways in order to keep climbing you have to literally pull out a pack back put your little door knob teammates in to this back pack and carry them. I've done this countless times, like 25k+ damage and all 5 kills, with team that has less then 3000 damage a piece.

 

Uncommons and rares, the only epic I own is a repair pulse. I spent cash once during that blast cannon +100 pearls for a week and bought a few premium chests with it, ended up scrapping that defender fit. The dual shields is the only way I can pull the enemy teams agression and hope it does anything for the team.

Because the teams the game gives can't even be dragged to victory.

I had a match with 3 kills in full health, could have had the last 2 shooters but as soon as I entered the cap zone in "damage depot" Died in seconds because 700~1000 damage per hit from 2 shooters, with 2 minutes left the healer and shooter on my team couldn't even scratch off 600 hp left on one of the remaining enemies. Let alone win.

 

I totally agree with the original topic of this thread. I feel the same that for the past Sundays(+8GMT), I drop a lot of infamy unusually. This comes with many many losses with 1 or 2 stars...

 

lol you people think you are the best of the best. Think about the games that your ass was dragged into a win by other players or the games that you were the weakest link.

 

I know how it feels. I'm at around the 780-810 range and in one weekend i went from 810 down to 499. I didn't recover until the next week.... just play the best you can (and use the idiots as meat shields XD).

 

So you're saying that we are consistently the weakest link in games on weekends?

And during weekdays, the draw of players are good that they drag us and our games to wins?

Weekend brings the worst players for sure. One are those idiots who don't know how to play and then there are high infamy players who want to drop their infamy and farm up from bottom.
Yesterday I faced a peculiar player who has found a way to circumvent the rovio's banning mechanism for players who drop infamy intentionally . Since I was the fixer I got taken out the first and I observed this guy from then on. This was a guy from ace league and currently playing at 1000 infamy he ran circles in damage depot without taking a single shot until he was the only one left. Also he had mk5 shooter and tier 2 epics and tier 3 rares on his ship. I watched one by one all the other ships get taken out while this guy did nothing. In the end it was 1 v 5. With those weapons he did a quick ~5000-5500 damage and got himself taken out. He had the highest damage on the team. So unless video of the match can be watched no one can really say that he was intentionally dropping infamy due to damage at the end of the match. I wonder how rovio is going to address this abuse

 

I feel for you. The best, and worst, part of BB is that you're set up with 3 or 4 (dep on fleeting) strangers who you dont know. And you've drawn an insightful, analytical conclusion to the problem. However im just going to throw one other proposal into your mix:

If its as constant as you believe it to be, then it follows that its the same with the other teams you are facing.

If this is true, then the 'weekend warriors' should bring both teams down proportionally. Therefore this particular problem shouldnt be adversely affecting your results over an extended period of time letting law of averages to take effect...
