RIP Blue Items?

    In the last two updates I get the impression that the purpose of Blue Items has been lost. Big/Small Shields and Turbo are default meta in all boats at this point.
    • Rudder, Lube - Already gone
    • Turbo - T4E maxes all boats, no purpose to T5E other than a sneaky way to add HP perks.
    • Boat Leveling - 50 Levels of only HP increases obsoletes the purpose of shields.. just build it in like Rudder and Lube.
    • Devs have yet to get Blue item gear score correct... building it into the boat would make it dead simple.
    I'm thinking it's time to remove Blue slots entirely and Move Bandage to Yellow.. or a flex slot.

    What about Defender? They are all about HP anyhow and there are 50 boat levels to add it. Consider switching one or two to yellow, or a limited yellow (Frost/Bandage?).

    I definitely feel like blue items, and even Defender, have been neglected for a long time. Mostly, we just need a greater variety of blue items (especially 2-slot items)... but if that’s not going to happen, then it’s stupid to even have blue items in the game at all.

    Some enforcers don’t follow the turbo meta. YSL and YorkeN for example.
    Rather than take away from the game, I’d rather some other viable blue options were added.

    I used to run a fixer with double shields sometimes. It’s not the meta but was a pain in the a** to kill me. Double pulse and a tape for good measures to. I was going to break the 10k health Mark with my fixer just before the update.
    At least now you don’t combine leggy pieces and hope it’s not a rudder or gear lube anymore. The only thing that seems pointless now in the blues items is the def perks.
