A simple solution to the gear score problem

    So I know it's a little late to be posting this, as the devs already have the new system ready to launch in a couple of days. But I'll still post this anyway:)

    So my idea came from a game I played a while back called clash royale. Thier event matchmaking didn't use the level of the items/ cards that people already had leveled up, but instead all cards were set to a "tournament standard" level, so that everyone was on an even playing field.

    So the way battle bay could implement this is by making an event standard level. All ships would be the same mk level, and all items would be on equivelent playing fields. Perks wouldn't have an effect on your items, because then the people with full epic and legendary perks would have an advantage over someone who just started. People would still have an insentive to level up, because events would only be on the weekends.

    If they used this system, it would reward skilled players who could win on an even playing field, instead of seal clubbers who just play for the rewards.

    Yes, please have events be on weekends ONLY. The people who can play on weekend but not during week MAJORLY outnumber those who can't play on weekends

    I first saw this idea in Final Fantasy XI (also my avatar)! There could be one event with capped gear/ships/perks and one without. I don't think anyone's gear should be raised to the cap. Cap would be decided by the ship level you pick, sort of the way it is now.

    For example, mark 1 is grey / lvl10 items / no perks, mark 2 is green / level 20 items / green perks, etc. If your item/perk level / color is over cap, drop it down. Also chop down training to match.

    Maybe matchmaking should be based off of multiple stats.
    1. Gear score
    2. Player infamy (should have the least difference in events)
    3. Not player level but difference in total Exp gained because it takes more exp per level up(example: if the rule was cant play with players 10 levels above or below then lv50 could ruin lv40 players which is a bigger gap than say lv10 and lv20)
    4. Item rarity and evolution(which I think was introduced in the last update...I tested it)
