Based on the possible slots, it's more like another hybrid of shooter and speeder.
The update will be released quite soon, so you can't do major changes now.

 

I bet they could do major changes now, the hard part about coding a ship is probably getting all the visuals to work properly, the slots are just attributes that probably could be changed with ease

With Monday Madness featuring 2x gold I'm really hoping the ship update drops beforehand. A lot of players have maxed their gold reserve to upgrade the new ship and having double gold would be pointless and honestly kind of frustrating.

 

That is true, but as we saw, the gatlGat gun came out total unbalanced, and that was fixed in a day with a hotfix. They could easily do the same with the boat, whaylt is hard about balance is making it perfect

 

I have 4.8k gold and a bunch of perks sitting in reserve. If the update doesn't come Monday morning or earlier I'll be tempted to buy a mk6 to capitalize on the double gold.

 

Don’t forget - it’s only double gold for the event battles and this is a ticket event. The double gold is nice but because the battles are limited you might not recover as much as you want.

 

Gatling Gun was temporarily fixed..
I expected some adjustments/improvements for Gatling Gun in this update.

 

That's why I said tempted lol, I probably won't buy a mk6 b

I know, that's why I said tempted lol. I'm sure other will fall into that trap though.
I see one of two things happening:
Update releases at the same time as the event and it's seal club city or it releases after and players are going to lose tons of infamy trying out the new boat and figuring out loadouts.

 

Oof, sealclubbers have a free mk1 now... GOD DAMNIT!

Devs you shoulda thought this through. I'm just kidding, a new ship? I'm all for it

They might make it so that it comes at equal level to your lowest-level ship. Like if all your ships are Mk. 6 except one that is Mk. 4, you'll get the mystery-ship at Mk. 4.
