New 2pt Yellow Item for speed

    I always loved the official launch trailer, it looks so cool and amazing. I am jealous of that speeder, though, rushing so quickly he is hovering above the surface of the water. Can we have an item like this? A 2pt item like OB but boasting more speed and causing the ship to hover when approaching top speed. It could be used to delay the trigger time of mines or something, I'm sure the devs can think of something creative, but even just being a better OB would be cool.


    If anyone has cool ideas on what the item could be called or any unique effects, plz share with me!

    I was just thinking something similar, a better OB where you hold the button. Similar to the Gatling mechanics, you have a set duration and effect is applied as long as the button is held, and recharges when the tank is empty. Other items cannot be used while this button is held (of course).

    If you move in a straight line your speed keeps increasing till about 600%. If you turn at all the item stops

    They should just make OB better. It was nerfed last year, but since then all other ships have had turret buffs, projectile speed buffs, and big improvements to their weapons (legendary perks). Meanwhile Speeders best defensive items TB and TS have been nerfed.

    Always thought about a flyboard kind of yellow item with which you can jump over mines and torpedos :D
    Mastering the skill to effectively use it can be made tough but once you are really on it, you can be airborne for a few seconds.

    Oh nice one.Yeah,the speeder is really fast imo. All other boats were trying to chase him but no one couldn't. Finally,all 5 got blasted lol:p:p


    Let's call the new yellow item as "HOVERBOOST".:):)

    Yes, you’re right. That’s the reason speeders can’t nitro off the top of waves and get over objects.

    No I’m agreeing with you. The 2D issue is why speeders can’t jump over walls or obstacles when then OB and nitro off the top of a wave. Obviously it looks as though they have enough height to clear it, but the 2D collision detection stops them.

    Alright, ditch the mine concept and have it be purely aesthetic? Some of the other ideas so far have also been interesting. I just like the idea of gliding over the surface of the water.

    Exactly, even if only a little better, it's so worth it over a wasted slot point. Enfo can also benefit off of this if they aren't using 2 2pt items.
