Why not have the ability to to split off part of an evolved item to sell? Eg a level 3 canon consists of 3 separate canon evolved into one. Instead of selling the whole level 3 canon, allow us the ability to sell one part, therefore leaving a level 2 in our inventory

If you evolve an item, there should be no turning back.

I think we should be able to use t2 items to evolve t4s

Why not? I’m sure most battlers have changed their minds about an item

I think this would be a good idea. I wouldn’t give them back any of the gold/sugar they spent evolving the item as I don’t think there should be no repercussions to breaking down an item, but that would be the only negative I would create.

I agree to forfeiting gold and sugar as it would get too complicated to reimburse this plus it would be a sacrifice you make for splitting the item

I am liking this idea...as I have progressed through weapons upgrades i have gotten to the point of switching over from fully developed Rare items to now Epic and Legendary...I tend to stick with the same weapons for personal likes and dont see the need to keep the obsolete leveled weapons. Also, I have other developed weapons that I dont really care for...this came from upgrading because of the way the initial guild quests were set up and that they were weapons specific to complete the quest.

I'm having a hard time seeing the use case here. Either I like the weapon and want to keep it as-is, or I've grown past it and want to scrap it entirely for parts.

A recent case in point: in exchange for deletion of level 3 rudder I obtained a level 3 sheild. I would have liked to split off one part to upgrade my existing sheild

Fair enough, although the "transmute" option isn't something that was ever seen before, and I can't speak to whether or not it will be seen again. Removal of items from the game is somewhat, um, "controversial" to put it mildly.

Maybe so. Many boaters carry two of the same item equally evolving them - I have seen this. If you decide to max one of them, it would be handy to be able to split an item.
