    I've noticed one curious thing...
We all have streaks of winning and losing, so... When I have "season max" infamy for some time, and when I get close to it again (like one more win will give me new season top), I can never win that single battle, lol.
    Every. Single. Time.
Got close to new record - lose. Again and again and again. And only after a few tries I can get new season max =)))
But if I'm coming from the infamy 200-300 lower than top, I got always stuck for some time. No matter how long was winning streak right before that =)
    Did anyone notice similar? =)

Yes, it does ‘feel’ like that, but it is probably some kind of cognitive bias, rather than a real pattern.

However, as you approach your maximum infamy, you’re also at the furthest point from your average infamy. So your chance of winning will likely be as far below 50:50 as you’re ever likely to be. Which might be a statistical explanation for why it seems to happen.

Possible... But this season my max is only 3497, which is far lower than in a few previous seasons (3700-3800).
So it's not so easy to estimate "average" =)

There is also ‘power creep’ to consider. Every week people at your infamy get new items and perks from the guild raffle and events, and make upgrades. So your average might slip backwards a little from week to week, if you don’t keep up.

Correct. Too many variables to consider =)
