Area damage weapons

What if Area damage weapons affected both teams who are in dmg radius?

That would certainly shake things up a lot. What y’all think?

 

I think that'll create a bunch of unnecessary frustration to everyone, because some people hold grudges against other players. So the fact that friendly fire is non-existent (except for shipwreck damage) forces us to work with our teams. Remember to be empathetic, and try not to take your teammates' errors so gravely.
(I need to work on this as well... Heh... )

 

Heh... you should be able to shoot floaters..

Or just completely remove all of their rewards, then delete their account. 3 matches in a row, floating, and poof.

 

Speaking of floaters, I have a pretty good idea to deal with them.
If a ship hasn't moved from spawn in the first minute of the match it should self destruct leaving the user with 0 rewards. If your ship self destructs more than once, automatic 1 day ban. Ban duration would increase with each subsequent ban.
In order for this to work the auto pilot feature would need to be removed though. I've seen quite a few ships auto piloting while technically floating.

 

I disagree, I like being able to shoot torpedoes at my team to be able to help them out with enemies who are getting way too close to them.

 

Just imagine a 4500 dmg mine between 4-5 enemies. I would love to eat it right between them. 20k dmg with enemy mine lol. (Imagine a t5 legendary one 6300 dmg)

I totally disagree with friendly fire in Battle Bay specially with area dmg weapons. What could happen if I throw a trop into my enemy then nitro next to him? Friendly fire is a very bad idea in Battle Bay...

Floaters should be replaced with an AI until they reconnect to the server.

 

Per day:
1 float = no punishment
2-5 = 15 min ban after each float
6-10 = 30 min ban after each float
11+ = 1 hr 30 min ban after each float

Some people have real life reasons for floating, so once a day they should be excused.




Friendly fire shouldn't be allowed. For many obvious reasons.
